E-Commerce Manager

Jonathan Adler is a Home Furnishings and Accessories Designer based in New York with 12 stores nationwide and a substantial following on the Internet. Our mission is wholeheartedly dedicated to making the customer’s experience an absolute delight and spreading our “happy chic” vibe. We are looking for full-time experienced E-Commerce Manager to be based in our Queens operation.

GENERAL OBJECTIVE

This person is responsible for delivering excellent service and continued growth of our web business. They are responsible for receiving and fulfilling orders via the Web and telephone and for coordinating the activities of a small team. The E-Commerce Manager will be a primary liaison between our Company and our customers on complex issues, and they are responsible for the expansion of key business categories, such as custom furniture.

The selected individual will have the ability to execute sales promotions and strategies. They will be self directed, creative, and motivated. This position reports to the Director of E-Commerce.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Communicate regularly with Director of e-Commerce for guidance and feedback

• Receive and process orders via the web and phone

• Coordinate with retail locations to ensure product is available when needed

• Perform order management accurately and efficiently

• Understand and create weekly sales reports for management

• Manage complex web inventory perfectly

• Perform physical inventory as needed

• Write and process Purchase Orders (accurately and on-time)

• Review orders for custom made products and process more complex orders personally

• Perform credit card authorizations and process payments daily

• Provide some coaching, training, and guidance to service team on client service

REQUIREMENTS

• Four year College Degree

• 2 to 3 years retail or web experience (supervisory experience preferred)

• 4 years + retail experience

• Retail Pro experience (or comparable POS system)

• High level of organization

• Creativity and Excitement

• Experience with orders of custom products

• Basic Website Administration

• Updating product availability

• Ability to use and manage our online credit card authorization tool

• UPS Worldship knowledge
